The first part of your dental appointment is diagnostics. We’ll capture digital x-rays and images. If you have current x-rays, please bring them with your or have them forwarded from your previous dentist. We may still recommend you receive new x-rays, but these past images allow us to notice the smallest changes and provide early diagnosis.
Once we capture your digital x-rays and smile photos, our team will also conduct a visual and manual examination. We’ll be screening for common oral health concerns including:
- Tooth decay
- Gum disease
- Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction
- Teeth grinding and clenching called bruxism
- Oral cancer
